About

A writer being all writerly with my blog. My current work in progress is an urban fantasy novel (Yay vampires!), with historical elements. I love animals (even the creepy ones), a buttery glass of wine, and a good book or series on Netflix that I can binge watch with my hubby. Special talent: hula hooping. Favorite food: Sushi. Fun fact: I believe in ghosts.

Jennifer Windram

I created this blog to engage, you know make chit chat, with the world around me (everyone can always use more friends). I hope to inspire, motivate and maybe make you laugh or at least do that weird snort thing people do when reading something funny on the internet. I’m also kinda crafty and I have a garden. Notice I didn’t say that I garden. I can’t make that claimโ€“my husband does all the work.

Here is looking all handsome.

Here he is looking all handsome.

My posts are usually about my daily adventures, everything from pesky grocery receipts to discovering bed bugs at a small chain hotel.

By the way, I have cats. And I know you love looking at pictures of other peoples cats, so here you go:

    Jennifer,
Thank you for stopping by Not Pretending (to be sane) and submitting a post about you and your hubby. I enjoyed it, and I’m sure my readers will too ๐Ÿ™‚
    Write on!

Great intro. Love your enthusiasm and your cat pics. Your admission about believing in ghosts reminded me of my blog post Ghost Stories–I think you’ll enjoy that one. Thank you stopping by today.

Thanks for coming by! I tend to obsess over my cats like most people do their kids, but I try to keep the posting of their pictures to a minimum ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll certainly check out your post. I love a good ghost story.

Thanks for coming by and liking one of my posts. I very much enjoyed your all about me page. You are so funny. Loved the cats! “The cat in the background isn’t real.” LOL
I like a vampire book now and again, too. Historical fiction is one of my favorites. I usually do not do this, but I posted about a series by Deborah Harkness a while back. Have you read her All Souls Trilogy? (third one is in progress) The first one is A Discovery of Witches. They are so good and I bet right up your alley. You’ve probably read them.

Anyway, if you want more info on what they’re about you can read my post. http://oldestdaughterredheadedsister.com/2013/09/09/cant-this-book-take-a-hint/
It doesn’t do them serious justice but it’ll give you an idea. Have a great weekend!

Hi! Thanks for following my blog and liking a few posts. I love your blog, especially the idea of letting “Libby” take over on Fridays. I love your header picture too,as I was a little obsessed with Phillipa Gregory novels for a while. They are seriously crack for book nerds.

    • jennifer Windram says:

Thanks. Libby has been fun and it’s been a great exercise to learn more about one of my supporting characters.

The Phillipa Gregory novels are great. I had to include them in the picture!

      Thanks for coming by ๐Ÿ™‚

I guess I should clarify, not just Netflix original series (although I love Orange is the New Black, haven’t seen House of Cards yet), but a lot of the old shows found on Netflix too ๐Ÿ™‚

Vampire romance novel? As long as there’s no hat dances… And you have a person named Libby living in your head… BIG surprise there. All right Windram, you are clearly the real deal here. Trent want fiction! Well, I’ll wander about and check out the place. Your husband is cute, by the way. Just don’t tell Art I said that.

How do you tell the difference between Lindie and Olive?? are you trying to trick me?? I love kitties! Lindie, in a paper bag, in a pyrex baking dish. Only we can’t see her cause she’s hiding. haha!

    • jennifer Windram says:

Ha! It’s easier to tell in real life. Olive is about 6 lbs heavier, which is a lot for a cat. Their fur is different too.

They’re so clever aren’t they ๐Ÿ™‚ Lindie actually is a really good hider and hunter. I have to supervise her in the backyard so she doesn’t bring us any “gifts”.

Understood. My Spiffy T would fit in well, she’s a tuxedo fulla trouble. The kids call her George, even argue with me when I say her real name is Spiffy T. I need to keep reminding myself that I don’t need to get another kitty. I am probably over the village limit for animals now.

Hi Jennifer, do you remember the Librarylady from wordpress? I clicked on a link to your old blog the other day and it didn’t work. I was sad so I tracked you down. You can’t hide from the library lady! I wasn’t sure if this was really the same Jennifer Windram until I read about the Chapstick people diorama, then I knew. You crack me up. Glad to follow you again.
